For Google, security has always been a priority, and to improve the security of Gmail, Google has introduced Blue Verified checkmarks near the sender’s name. The Verified checkmark is like all the other social media platforms that show that the account is genuine.

In 2021, a feature was introduced in Gmail Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI). It requires senders to verify their brand logo in order to display a brand logo as an avatar in an email. The senders who have adopted BIMI will have the Verified tick.

The features are available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers. It is also available to users with personal Google Accounts.

Google said that “Strong email authentication helps users and email security systems identify and stop spam, and also enables senders to leverage their brand trust. This increases confidence in email sources and gives readers an immersive experience, creating a better email ecosystem for everyone.

It is believed that the Verified Checkmark will be successful in eliminating spammers sending scam emails every day and protecting users from getting trapped. The feature is rolling out, and very soon, it will be available to everyone.
